No Trucks.Org!Truckers!!! You are not welcome in Morrow Georgia!!! Morrow Ga. has a city wide ordinance that prohibits trucks parking ANYWHERE within the city limits of Morrow!!! This is not a Joke and they will target you for a fine with NO warning!! Even store owners can not give you permission to stop there, not even if you are their customer. Seems that the city has jurisdiction that overrides even their rights as well as yours! So it is not the wishes of the shops and stores, it is the City of Morrow you have to thank for violating your civil rights as an American Citizen . They want your money but not you! I know this to be a fact because I found out about it 1st hand.. and Im not going to take it lying down!! I'm ready for war!! armed with my rights as a US citizen, and soon the backing of the press! Officer R. Thrasher Badge #3213 is the one who chose to violate my rights and had the option seeing that I was legitimately a customer of the place I was parked with the permission of the management, and security's permission. I also walked directly past another officer who could have easily told me that I couldn't park anywhere in Morrow and avoided this whole situation! But I guess she decided to just call someone who has no knowledge of common sense that an offices should use when enforcing some of the wishes of the city ordnance sec10-1-8 and may also have the same difficulty deciding how to deal with other situations as well. If this is the case I will file harassment charges on him and urge you to do the same! I have friends that are officers of the law and this kind of treatment by the ones that give law a bad name is just the thing that puts them in jeopardy of running into someone who is fed up with his type of cop, and ends up taking things out on a good officer who is truly just trying to use good common sense when he enforces the law. How would you like to come out after shopping with an arm full of goods you just bought only to get harassed .. maybe you had dirt on your license plate and he decided to give u a ticket for it not being clean.. or a crack in a tail light lens or any other minor detail and since you are parked he decides to check you or anything he wants to out. Taking your hard earned cash seems to be his main motive and to show you his authority and power. Do we need this? what about using a little common sense with enforcement, and being helpful no a nuisance to customers and citizens. Of coarse we know there is no crime going on any where near Atlanta don't we so he just talking care of all of the hardened criminals (customers) in the parking lot makes you want to stay home doesn't it? I guess next he might have to come to your house and tell you when to wash your dishes.. they can already tell you you cant park certain types of vehicles on your own property. Do you remember a time when the law was there to protect and to serve you? When you feared criminals and looked to the law for protection. Now you fear how the law is out to steal your hard earned money for anything that they can conjure up to be a violation or infraction of the law. I actually have less concerns walking thru the ghetto of having my money taken from me than I do of some rookie trying to make a name for himself going ticket happy and stealing my money. Sad thing to have to say isn't it? How do you feel? Let us know! ======================================================== Comments I for one am upset with the rules and regulations of the government... i work for them as a peon and am also getting the royal boot in the arse. Other than that I do not like the way that the main stay of our nation (the trucking industry) is being treated. I think that our entire lives depend on the trucks to deliver all over the USA I feel that the new regulations are a little off target the ones like me in little cars must respect the semis i have always done this.. i think that if a tired trucker needs to sleep he/she must. if they need supplies especially in odd areas of the USA. the areas must accommodate to help us get our provisions to survive. I think also that if the regulations and regulators are not in complete understanding that a lot is lost the ones that make decisions have no clue as to what they do. i am very upset too. Sharon
CommentsI have just read so far what is here on your web page and there is a lot of unfair justice. I am not a trucker but I giving it thought to become one and still considering it. But I seen what places welcome truckers and what place don't. Why is this? Its because truckers are stereo typed? People need to realize when they try to close out a person they maybe closing out something very good. plus think if you are a business closing them out think about what can really be lost. You can use a load, a friend, and many truckers cause news travels.

CommentsI want to thank again & encourage everyone to post to this page and send me email letting me know what you would like to see on my sites in the future. I do want to gather people to file several petitions to try to get something done on any and all things that we discuss... We have to put the will of the people back in the power of the people! We must also stop the handful of people who are in office from imposing their will upon us.. and making us pay the penalty for not just acting as a slave to their wishes... after all isn't that how and why this this great country was formed in the first place? CommentsAce, I fully support you in your attempt to educate people in the ways truckers are being done. People don't stop to realize how would they receive their products if they weren't delivered by the trucking industry. Planes,ships,railroads can only deliver so much . KEEP up what YOU are doing.
CommentsJust so that you know if u do park anywhere in the city limits of Morrow Ga in a semi even if it is a bobtail the set fine if u decide to pay it without going to court is $350.00 !!! Now does that sound fair? for a parking ticket? Sounds like a money racket to me! and on the ticket itself they give u no phone# to call u have to find that yourself... Should you decide to call them they do not want to hear anything you have to say... and will not let you talk to the judge!... they either want you to just pay the ticket $350.00 or go to court to see what your fate will be (you might not want to bobtail to the court house or if my guess is right you might just walk out and see that the Jerks have just issued you another ticket... which you will have to come back to court another time to settle up on... by the way that $350.00 is for a first offense.. so you can only fear what the next one might cost! They do not give you any kind of warning!!! just try to rape you with that kind of an outrageous fine!! My day in court is coming up soon.. so as I have said I WILL NOT PAY IT.. even if it is 5 cents and I never even signed anything to say that I would appear, I printed WILL NOT PAY! where the signature would go not .. because I am an American citizen and should have the right to shop just like anyone else! without being penalized for being a truck driver.. they should welcome me since without truck drivers they wouldnt have any place to shop or get anything without truck drivers! But instead they see us as an easy mark.. because they know it costs us to have to take off and go back there to have our day in court... so we just pay as a basic rule... or if we should make that mistake and decide to bobtail to take care of it they can rape you again.. well I would like to find out just how many people have had this done by the city of Morrow and from there file a discrimination suit against them and make them pay back what they have stolen from other citizens plus any expenses incurred by the victims then for damages from the harassment for an un determined amount... I also want to see the merchants get a settlement for the average loss of retail sales that have been lost due to this ridiculous miscarriage of justice! if you have any of this information please send an email to ace@aceco.org Thank You .. CommentsIs it my imagination that the congressmen/women and Senators work for "We The PEOPLE" or did I just dream it. There is power in the "Peoples Voice" so lets all use it. It is bad enough that the Senate and Congress get to vote themselves raises, but this "Golden Fleece" money should be put into the Social Security Fund and the Senators and Congressmen/women should go on Social Security just like the rest of us. THIS RAPING OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE WE PUT INTO OFFICE MUST STOP!!! If they want a raise, put it on a referendum and have the people vote on a raise. Vote yes if they have done a good job and no if they didn't. Sure they will whine but remember there are more of us then there are of them. I THINK IT IS TIME WE TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK !!!!! Commentsthese types of things amaze me, police officers get paid to arrest hardened criminals so to speak, there are hundreds of drivers on the road daily under the influence that get away with it, and this is what some of them choose to do with their time. Stop a truck driver and issue a ticket for parking his truck. When did this become a crime? Never mind the fact that he had the stores permission, but barney decided to write him up anyway? pardon my sarcasm, it just irritates me when I read about someone's basic rights being violated. We live in a country that is built on the bill of rights, and it also is built on the foundation of freedom, this is one clear case where all of that went out the window. yes hes free to park there, but not without receiving a hefty fine, yes he's free to drive through that town, but not stop and enjoy a meal, yes he can deliver goods to that town, but don't dare shop or enjoy yourself, as your truck poses a problem. I figure if its illegal to park your trucks there, then just don't deliver to that area, let them find a way to get their goods delivered some other way.

CommentsTruck strikes and such never have done any good. If we set a schedule about every two weeks all trucks stop for one day regardless of where it may be it would make a difference.

CommentsThis is regarding the ticket Mike received in Morrow, GA for parking in the Wal-Mart lot to shop. I have posted links to the city officials email addresses or phone numbers. I have also included links to the Senators and representatives email addresses for that area. I ask you to either write or call these people and express your anger at what they have done and what they are attempting to do to honest hard working people in our country by ticketing them. I understand it doesn't just involve truckers but may also include people in RV's etc. that choose to park there to shop. Please do your part not only to help Mike but anyone else that could be or already has been a vitim of these people. It is an election year people. CommentsI am angered by what happened to this man, or to anyone else. Are they telling us now what we can go shopping in? Sure sounds like it.. we are suppose to be a free Country That sounds like dictatorship to me.. He is being penalized cause he went shopping in a Semi. That is wrong. It is sad that it has come to this. Does this mean that Big buses and RV's will be also for trying to shop? I drive a bus sometimes a big bus and now If they want to go shopping as most do I feel I'll have to say I'm sorry we can't do that.. and when they say why? I'll say well you see our Government Is sticking it to us we are no longer permitted to park big vehicles in a parking lot. Guess if they can't stick it to us 1 way they sure will another. The least they can do is kiss us when they do. We all need to get together and protest what is happening. Shirley
CommentsMy family has traveled the Pa turnpike for the past 29 years yearly. It is a rough ride in certain spots and i am happy that some of it has been updated I hope that it is not like the Tennessee highways that always have the orange and white trees in the lanes it takes years to think of repairs but i think that it could be done in a lot less time and with out so much money S

CommentsYeah considering that even the judge Frost Ward, and the city Manager John Lampl are of the opinion that nothing should be heard as far as dismissing this bogus ticketing...The judge refused to hear anything about dismissing it...and set the fine at $380 ... and when I ask him how much jail time that would be since I refuse to pay for someone to violate my rights the way they are choosing to do... He ask me where I was from... and when I said Texas.... he replied ....No wonder!!!... does that imply that if I were from Georgia I might automatically know that is where i was supposed to grab my ankles? or assume the position?... He then offered to reduce the fine by half.... to $180... and really got offended when I ask how much jail time that would be.....I just wanted to know how much jail time a person would get for shopping at Wal-Mart in Morrow Ga..... and that comment really set him off..... but since that was the only thing that I had done to receive such fine southern hospitality as they mention on their web site.. I originally had thought that this ludicrous treatment was due to an overly zealous cop.... but Mr John Lampl City manager of morrow Ga changed my mind on that matter .... His statement was that he did not want trucks even in HIS city.... and if they were there just get what we bring to that community there.... and then GET OUT!!!... Don't eat, drink, sleep, or shop in HIS city!!!! and even though Wal-Mart doesn't support this opinion and own their property ... with Mr Lampl in office they have lost their right to have any say over who can shop at their store If you drive a camper or motor home... Although Wal-Mart as a company encourages you to be welcomed to stop in and shop or spend the night at any of their stores nationwide (Because this is good public relations) Mr lampl says' I don't want anyone staying overnight or camping out in MY city' and said he has plans to get even tougher on trucks and campers that enter HIS city... he also sad he plans on restricting what roads they can even legally be on when they enter HIS city.................... Now isn't that just what we need someone taking away even more or our freedoms?........... I would strongly urge the Citizens of Morrow Ga to Do what it takes to get selfish uncaring, or greedy people out of their city government..... and do it quick before they like a virus quickly infect their whole community....Mike Peeples
CommentsI mentioned to Mr Lampl in our discussion that the kind of treatment he talked about was not right or fair.... he said he didn't care about what was right or fair.....It is HIS city and that is just the way it is going to be.... if he is so quick to steal the rights of truckers who bring all of the merchants and retailers their goods to the city.... do you think he would hesitate to take any other right or opportunity away from anyone? ........ Well from my experience if someone just doesn't care about anyone but themselves.... they will continue to take from everyone that they can...... and by targeting 1 group at a time they wont get enough opposition to stop them!!!...... so BEWARE.... if you allow this to be done 1 item, 1 group at a time instead of banning together and stopping this NOW... you surely wont like the way you end up losing rights and privileges you should be able to enjoy by the rights you are constitutionally guaranteed........ Unless someone like him get their hands on the constitution... and amend it to suit themselves... Then come back and dictate and fine you for not following what they dictate to you!!!...... you can see this is true in history...... look at people like Hitler..... and situations like the taxation without representation .....Resistance to these kind of dictator like, and forceful overbearing government actions that our founding fathers fought against to form This Great Country
CommentsOnce again I do want to let everyone know that none to the problematic things that are caused by these city ordinances and the way they are being enforced are the wishes of the respective business owners............... Wal-Mart wishes that the police would stop harassing their customers on the property that Wal-Mart owns...... but their hands are tied to do anything about it...... Why? you may ask...... Because they have to have a business license to be able to sell anything in the city...... so if they were to go in opposition to the city government........they might be refuse a business license or be fined themselves for not following whatever the city might choose to write into the city code.... or ordinances......... Sounds almost like something that organized crime would do doesn't it!! ......I dare you to take a close and hard look at a lot of what is going on around you.....it resembles organized crime more and more...... but they call it government.......Its time we start taking control of what is right and fair again, and get some of these self centered clowns out of office and start changing things to the way they are supposed to be.....This is a lot bigger than Just the trucking industry, or just race, or group, gender, it is something we will all have to pull together on to be successful... in concurring what they have already taken.... and plan on taking from us all in the future........Mike Peeples
CommentsI have been asked by many of my close personal friends, those I work with, and people that I am there for and try to contribute to to help with matters that I feel to be vitally important....the question is: 'Why dont you just pay the damn thing... it is going to cost you more and be a lot more difficult if you dont'........................ I will stand firm to my beliefs and if everyone else took that extra effort to do the same..... just like dealing with a bully in school.... trying to take your lunch money......if u keep giving it to them..... they will keep taking it from u and keep wanting more.......but if you fight back.... or kick their ass..... and make them pay for the treatment they give you.... they might think twice before they do it again..... I guess its time to start gearing up for the ass kicking that a few bullies need so badly...... and it might just have to cost them as much or more than they have stolen from others in the past....
